The Joint Commission International Library of Measures
, a required resource for selecting measures to meet the JCI accreditation requirements, has been announced to the field.
The Joint Commission International Accreditation Standards for Hospitals, 4th Edition (effective 1 January 2011)
requires organizations to select at least five of the 11 required clinical measures from the Library of Measures. This requirement is intended to begin the process of standardizing a set of measures across all JCI accredited organizations. In 2012, or possibly later, the measures will be reported to JCI for creation of a comparative database to enhance learning and benchmarking. In addition, JCI's منح شهادات برنامج الرعاية الإكلينيكية
requirements include the need for programs to choose at least two of their four reported measures from the Library of Measures.
